Newcastle pool bar Spot White reveals huge expansion with new games, unique art and a 'city first' whisky bar
Spot White West
Popular city centre pool and snooker bar Spot White has opened a new floor with attractions including several 'firsts' - a whisky lounge; a Chinese eight-ball pool table and bespoke wall art.
The expansion, at Spot White's original city centre venue in Stowell Street, has doubled its size, with a transformation of a previously empty floor below the late-night hot-spot. Staff are geared up for this first weekend of business as regulars, keen to see the new set-up, are finding a very different look and vibe.
Adam Goldstone, managing director of Spot White Chinatown, who also opened second city venue Spot White West last spring, says he was lucky to secure a £850,000 loan for the major work which has created the upmarket addition to the venue, with VIP areas available to book, new bars and 14 more pool tables which include a new Heyball table for the difficult challenge of playing Chinese eight-ball pool which involves snooker-size pockets and American pool balls - which Adam thinks is the only one in Newcastle.
